Made it
So, here I am in Berkeley, bouncing around, hanging with my folks and cuddling my kitties. Niki is LOVING me right now, I think he thought I'd died. Poor little boy and his abandonment issues.
FIRST thing? Getting a chai latte. No other chai latte will do. Ever. Man it's good to be home.
We went up to Moe's which was lovely, managed to convince dad NOT to buy the James Blunt
Starting now, I'm collecting book titles that sound like really lame Doctor Who episodes.
And I picked up a copy of Candide with a wonderfully camp 50's cover
Then we went up to La Fiesta, which just makes me happy. Partially because they finally have their liquor license, despite the crazy old man on the corner, who apparently thought that the nice family restaurant having a booze license would cause it to be loud and crazy. (On telegraph avenue. Which is already brimming with highschool/college/homeless people being drunk/loud/stoned who are there already. Sigh.) Partially because I've been eating there since before I was born. I'm probably 75% beans, rice and cheese. :P
Mum managed to snap a nice shot of me and my father looking over the menu. Sneaky sneaky.
I am going to fandom hell, we've already established that, so now I shall make it worse with a bit of semicosplay fail.
Uhm. I don't normally dress like Three, I just made a deal with a certain someone who decided to eyebrow pencil a beard all over her face.
Well, if that didn't scare away all the friends I've made, NOTHING will.
